On April 14, the 20th anniversary Palm Branch of the Restaurant Business Award for the best new restaurant concept took place in Moscow at the Moscow Marriott Imperial Plaza.
Traditionally, special Palm Branch awards were also presented. Pavel Sharov, managing partner of the AgalarovRest group, received an award for his 20-year contribution to the restaurant industry, effective restaurant management, and support of the award. The restaurant MELA was recognized as the “Best New Mediterranean Cuisine Restaurant.”
This year, 12 concepts from 8 regions of Russia were nominated for the top honor: ATLANTICA Bistro (Moscow), Masa Madre (Moscow), Anchovy’s Club (Moscow), Padron (Moscow), “Schastlivy Vmeste” (Yekaterinburg), “Zherarnya” (Novosibirsk), “Zakroma” (Yaroslavl), “Kazak” (Rostov-on-Don), “Aulak” (Kazan), “Ming Dynasty Cuisine” (St. Petersburg), Sadko (Krasnoyarsk), and “Embassy” (Samara).
