Sea Breeze at WUF13: Caspian Coastal Resort City Showcased on the International Stage in Baku
Sea Breeze is participating in the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13), taking place in Baku from May 17 to 22, 2026. Organized by UN-Habitat in partnership with the Government of Azerbaijan, the forum is one of the world’s leading international platforms dedicated to sustainable urbanization, modern city development, housing, infrastructure, and quality of urban life.
During the opening ceremony, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev highlighted Sea Breeze among notable examples of contemporary urban development, emphasizing that the project is another demonstration of the evolution of a modern urban environment. Sea Breeze founder and owner Emin Agalarov also attended the ceremony.
As part of WUF13, Sea Breeze unveiled its own branded exhibition stand, where forum guests can explore the resort city’s concept, architecture, infrastructure, and flagship developments.
For the first time, the stand features a 9-meter-scale model of the 23-kilometer coastline, showcasing all major projects, including the Caspian Dream Liner, Halfmoon Island, Fire Island, and Star Island.
Sea Breeze also presented a film dedicated to the project’s environmental development strategy, created in honor of the company’s 20th anniversary. The film highlights the project’s long-term approach to sustainable development, landscaping, and the creation of a comfortable urban environment.
On the same day, the Sea Breeze stand hosted an award ceremony for the winners of Spring Lab — an educational program developed in partnership with the EcoSfera Social and Environmental Center. The initiative is aimed at fostering environmental awareness and entrepreneurial skills among children and young people aged 6 to 22. Following the final selection process, three winning projects were chosen. The authors will receive cash prizes, and their initiatives will have the opportunity to be implemented within Sea Breeze.
“We are pleased that the participants’ projects will have the opportunity to be implemented within Sea Breeze. Initially, we planned to select only one winner, but the ideas presented were so compelling that we decided to support three projects instead,” said Emin Agalarov.
“Thank you to Sea Breeze for supporting this initiative. Yesterday, during the Children and Youth Assembly, an important idea was voiced: children’s voices must be heard by adults. Every city is a city of the future and a city for children. If children want to say something and adults truly listen, it matters greatly. Today, Sea Breeze is demonstrating in practice its understanding of what a city of the future should be,” said Firuza Sultan-zade, Head of the EcoSfera Social and Environmental Center.
The forum highlights Sea Breeze’s strategic focus on creating a modern, comfortable, and sustainable urban environment while opening new opportunities for international cooperation.
