On April 28, the grand opening of a new Crocus Fitness club, Crocus Fitness Chkalov Arena, took place. Guests had the opportunity to explore all areas of the club, including the swimming pool, group class studios, and wellness space.
The event followed an aviation theme, referencing the history and legacy of Soviet Union Hero Valery Pavlovich Chkalov. The atmosphere was enhanced by a photo zone featuring an airplane and interactive elements: guests participated in a raffle with lottery airplanes, where they could win prizes from partners.
The evening began at 7:00 PM. A guided tour of the club was led by the network’s owner Emin Agalarov and CEO Vladislav Petrov. A highlight of the event was the ceremonial ribbon-cutting, attended by former Spartak Moscow goalkeeper and technical director Artyom Rebrov, Director General of the Chkalov National Aero Club of Russia Sergey Ambarnov, and businessman, entrepreneur, and owner of the international Crocus Fitness chain Emin Agalarov.
“For me, this is a special project. It is the first time I am taking part in the opening of a club of this scale in a place with such history. Aircraft once took off from here, and today we are creating a space where people develop themselves, their bodies, and their lifestyle. It is about transforming the territory and the new values being formed here,” noted Sergey Ambarnov.
Guests also enjoyed a buffet, live performances, a DJ set, and a prize draw from event partners, including Sea Breeze, Spartak Moscow Football Club, RANK, Mercury Home Collection, Fitness SHOCK, Angiopharm Laboratory, Forte Village, and Palazzo Fiuggi Hotel.
The event was hosted by Nikita Dyuvbanov.
Among the guests were Lusya Chebotina, Kirill Turichenko, Irakli, Artyom Rebrov, Nikita Kiosse, Artyom Kid, Maria Shurochkina, Viktoria Sinitsina, and Nikita Katsalapov.
Crocus Fitness Chkalov Arena is one of the network’s key projects, located within the Chkalov Arena complex in a picturesque bay of the Moscow River, near Spartak metro station. The 4,000 sq. m club spans three floors and is one of the brand’s largest fitness spaces.
The 1,000 sq. m gym is equipped with leading global brands and includes a martial arts zone with a ring and tatami, as well as a rehabilitation area. Group studios offer more than 60 programs, including a dedicated studio for mindful practices such as stretching, breathing exercises, and bodywork.
Special attention has been given to the aquatic area: the club features a swimming pool with panoramic glazing overlooking the Moscow River, as well as a separate pool for infant swimming. The space is complemented by open terraces and a thermal complex for recovery.
Crocus Fitness Chkalov Arena is designed as a full-scale destination where guests can spend the entire day — from training to relaxation.
