Sea Breeze has been presented for the first time at the international real estate exhibition MIPIM 2026, one of the world’s largest platforms for showcasing development and investment projects. The exhibition is held in Cannes and annually brings together leading developers, architects, investors, and representatives of city administrations from around the globe.
On the opening day of MIPIM, the official opening ceremony of the Sea Breeze stand took place with the participation of Filippo Rean, Managing Director of RX France, Nicolas Boffi, MIPIM CEO, and Leyla Abdullayeva, Ambassador of Azerbaijan in France. Following the ceremony, the project’s official presentation was held. Emin Agalarov, founder and owner of Sea Breeze, presented the development concept of the resort city on the coast of the Caspian Sea and spoke about the long-term strategy for the territory’s growth.
“Most developers look at projects with a five-to-seven-year horizon. Sea Breeze has never had a finish line — it is a project of a lifetime. I am not aiming to complete it quickly or monetize it. All the income generated over the past twenty years has been reinvested in infrastructure — roads, landscaping, schools, and medical facilities. The more infrastructure and quality environment we create within the project, the higher the demand for real estate,” noted Emin Agalarov.
On the first day of the exhibition, the presentation was also delivered by chief master planner of the resort city, Darren Comber, CEO of the international architectural bureau Scott Brownrigg.
Leyla Abdullayeva, Ambassador of Azerbaijan in France, emphasized the importance of the project for the country’s international positioning:
“It is a great honor for me to take part in this ceremony. I am grateful to Emin Agalarov, the Sea Breeze team, and the organizers of MIPIM for the opportunity to present Azerbaijan. Sea Breeze is also a presentation of Azerbaijan.”
According to her, today Azerbaijan is known not only as a country rich in energy resources, but also as a state with strong human potential. Among the country’s key characteristics, she highlighted stability and security, economic growth and development, as well as multiculturalism.
Filippo Rean, Managing Director at RX France, noted that it is important for the exhibition to discover new ambitious projects:
“MIPIM is constantly looking for new projects, fresh ideas, and leadership. This is exactly what Sea Breeze represents. We are pleased to welcome the project to the exhibition and wish the team a productive week and promising business connections.”
MIPIM 2026 will run until March 13. Throughout the week, the Sea Breeze team is holding meetings at the stand with investors, developers, and architectural bureaus, presenting the project to the international professional community. Architectural models of key projects from the new phase of the territory’s development — Halfmoon Island and the Caspian Dream Liner are showcased at the Sea Breeze stand.
